This December all of our gymnasts will take part in the Kilkenny Gymnastics Academy Christmas Showcase. From December 13th – 19th our gymnasts will display their best gymnastics skills for their parents/guardians. The gymnasts will have the opportunity to show you some routines they have been learning and skills they have been working on since September.
By now you will have received an email with the date and time. Ensure to read this carefully, unfortunately arriving on the wrong day or time will most likely result in your gymnast being unable to take part, as routines are specific to each class group. We will begin with a group warm up, then each class group will perform a floor routine they have been working on to music and also demonstrate 1 other apparatus for you. We will be joined by some of our more advanced gymnasts to show you and the gymnasts a few higher level skills. We hope you will enjoy your gymnasts show and give them lots of encouragement on the day as some are quite nervous and this is their first time to perform in front of a crowd

General Info
Fundraiser Appeal / Winter Raffle Info

This year we are supporting one of our gym families . We have had the gymnasts of this family as members of our sister gym Sugarloaf Gymnastics for a number of years and have been aware of their difficult quest to organise specialist surgery in the US that is not available in Ireland, or anywhere in Europe for their physically disabled 7 year old daughter, who was born with a very rare orthopaedic condition. If successful this surgery will improve her quality of life, reduce her pain and improve her mobility.
The good news is that their health insurance agreed to cover the surgery in the US, at a specialised center and it will be in early December. The bad news is that they just found out, that it won’t cover the months of extensive specialist physical therapy and rehabilitation required that must be carried out in the US following the surgery. The cost is a significant amount and all the funds raised will directly go towards the physical therapy costs, we hope to be able to support them as much as possible. Kilkenny Gymnastics Academy will donate €1 for every €10 raised by our members.
What can you do to help?
We don’t charge an additional entry for families for our Christmas Shows, to start this fundraiser off we would ask you to please donate whatever you feel comfortable with when you attend your gymnasts show. Collectors will be on hand as you leave the show with collection buckets, as the saying goes “every little helps“!

Frequently Asked Questions
What time should I arrive?
No earlier than the time listed. For shows on Sunday 16th, this will be an extremely busy day with only minutes between shows, if you arrive early you will not be allowed to enter the training centre and will have to wait until your designated show time. Arriving earlier also means that finding parking will be difficult.
What should my gymnast wear?
Hair should be tied up, no jewellery. Leotard is preferable but not essential for girls, fitted leggings and tshirts can be worn. Boys may wear shorts/tracksuit bottoms and a fitted tshirt. Tinsel in hair and Santa hats are very welcome 🙂
How long will the show last?
No longer than 1 hour.
What should we bring?
As little as possible!. Above all bring lots of enthusiasm and support for the gymnasts!
I will have my baby/small child with me, is that ok?
Yes, as long as children will sit on your knee and your gymnast is still only using up their allowance of 3 seats and not taking a seat from another family that is fine. Children must be kept with you at all times. We do not have space for prams and buggies unfortunately so must be left at the drop off area
