Details of the places we currently have available in our classes can be found when you click on the join now button. Places are listed by day, time, age group and experience. Places are booked on a first come basis and usually book up quite fast.

Upon booking, if your required age group returns to you as “unavailable”, this class is currently full.

Places cannot be reserved.

If you have any other queries please contact info@kilkennygymnastics.ie and we will be in touch as soon as possible. Ideally queries are submitted by email as we are in the gym teaching until late in the evening and cannot always answer the phone, likewise it is best to email rather than call into the gym.

Our general administration days are Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm. Unfortunately due to coaching classes in the gym; emails, phone calls, Facebook messages and texts received outside of these hours may not be replied to until the next working admin day. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are located in The Hub, Cillin Hill, Dublin Road, Lyrath, R95 A4VP Kilkenny, Co Kilkenny. You can view the exact location by clicking here.

Please park with consideration to all our customers.

We do not hold a waiting list, instead places are given on a first come basis. Please check our current availability page regularly to view places on offer. The majority of places are available prior to September registration. Throughout the year we will have places available but there may not be as many.

The listings that require previous gymnastics experience are to join groups that already exist in the gym. We cannot put new gymnasts in with a group of gymnasts who have been taking part in classes for a long period of time. We strive to keep our groups streamed to ability and age level where possible.

From age 3 for girls and 4 years old for boys, all of these classes are independent classes only, parents do not stay on site, we have your contact details should there be an emergency. It has been proven that a much better response from children is possible when a parent is not present. Please note that coaches are not permitted in the bathroom with children, so they must be able to do this themselves in order to participate in classes and camps, ensure children go before class.

If your child is not old enough to join a weekly class or is not ready to attend class alone then they can attend our Parent & Child class. This runs from September – June. Details are available on our website for days and time. It is suitable from walking to approx. 4 years of age. Due to its popularity and limited numbers, places must be booked online before attending via the Join Now button.

It is easy to find out in 2 ways:

  1. Search “Kilkenny Gymnastics” in your email inbox (of the address that was used to book theplace). A receipt from “NoReply” will pop up, click into the email and the time and day is listed there.
  1. Visit Easy Payments Plus, login using the email address and details you used to create theaccount. Hover over “My Account” in the top right corner, click “Payment History”, all your classes purchased will show with the day, time and class booked.

As pick up and drop off times are extremely busy, we recommend bringing as little as possible with you. Many of our members opt to bring flip flops instead of shoes and socks to make things a little easier. Gymnasts can bring water to class.

Check your child’s details with our coaches to ensure that we have them on our class lists. Place all belongings neatly in a cubby and go onto the floor mats in preparation for warm up. We take a full roll call and split into groups after warm up. Parents should head off and leave the rest to our coaches!

We recommend a leotard for girls, but this is not mandatory. Girls can wear leggings and a tshirt, hair must be tied back before coming to class No jewellery is permitted. Boys can wear shorts, fitted tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. Leotards can be found easily online – we recommend Quatro, Milano and The Zone. We also sell our own Kilkenny Gymnastics Academy Leotards & hoodies which can be purchased in the gym. Please do not put younger gymnasts in leotards if they will not be able to manage them while going to the toilet themselves. To purchase hoodies, tshirts and bags click here.

All our classes are drop and go. It has been proven that a much better response from children is possible when a parent is not present. For Health and Safety and for Child protection reasons, gymnasts are not to be dropped off more than 5 minutes ahead of class time without permission from staff. Arriving too early will cause congestion in the waiting area. Gymnasts must be picked up on time as our coaches have other classes to teach or the gym may be closing. If you will be late to pick up your gymnast please text 0861023724

We cannot accommodate other children being left to watch siblings or friends as we cannot be responsible for them.

We have 2 parent events during the year. The first is during the second term in the week leading up to Christmas where we put on a display for you. The second is at the end of June when the gymnasts partake in the Gymnastics Ireland GymStart Awards inhouse. Notification of both of these is generally given by note in class or via email.

If you have a query regarding your gymnasts progress please email info@kilkennygymnastics.ie and we will come back to you with information from their coach.

We ask that you do not approach coaches who are teaching class. Please speak to the coaches at the very beginning or end of class as the gymnasts require our full attention. If you wish to discuss something in length, please email and we can arrange a phone call or another suitable time to talk as we want to maximize our time with the gymnasts during class time.

The majority of communication from us will be via email, we advise not using a work email address as your contact details as these tend to block our emails. Save sharon@kilkennygymnastics.ie jamie@kilkennygymnastics.ie and termfees@kilkennygymnastics.ie into your contacts otherwise our emails are likely to end up in your spam inbox. Payment information for terms are sent via email.

We are frequently active on our Facebook Business Page posting reminders of dates off, news, camp and availability announcements. We recommend that you “like” our page. The news section of our website is also regularly updated. Reminders to enrol or days off are not emailed.

When booking for a new place or re-enrolling please ensure to note down the dates in your diary for the class term which is available when you click on the class information on Easy Payments. You can also visit our calendar for Term Dates. Reminders of days off will be posted on our Facebook page.

You will receive an email from termfees@kilkennygymnastics.ie approx. 4 weeks prior to the term ending. Term 1 dates are viewable in our calendar. T2 (and subsequently T3) starts immediately afterwards, we will contact you with details of re-enrolling for T2/T3 via email. Fee’s will need to be paid 2-3 weeks prior to the end of the current term, adhering to the closing date to guarantee your gymnasts place.
